cruisin' around the Gotland coast

on sunday we decided we wanted to check out the Gotland coast to see the rauker (limestone pillars) that are formed by the wind and sea... we went to the information bureau and they said that the buses aren't really that efficient around the island, but suggested that we rent a car... we figured there was no way we could afford to rent a car! but were quickly informed that it was only 250 swedish kroner, about 40$... we thought, for that price, what the hell! so we went on down, got ourselves a nice little volkwagon passat and went on cruisin'... being a sunday, it was quiet on the roads and around the coast, we really picked the perfect time of year, and time of the week to go! the beaches were covered in some of the whitest sand i have ever seen! and the rauker are amazing... slightly different from one area to another, some are very much free standing, others are more in clusters... we went climbing and exploring, i even did a nice penguin dive type fall... yeah, thats right, chantal the kluts at it again! well, ya know, my ankle was finally healing and it was time for me to have another injury! my wrist is still a little tender but nothing bad at all... it was mostly just embarassing cause i had to go around the rest of the day covered in the slime from the rocks that i slipped on... good times...
