i was totally blown away by this trip... just a short train trip outside the city on the s-bahn and then you take a little shuttle bus up the mountain and then a short walk followed by a cable car ride and then a 20 minute hike up brings you to these stunning caves...a little bit of work to get there but SO worth it...  i guess how it works is like a giant refrigerator... in the winter the wind blows in and cools the caves and then in the spring the mountain streams melt and flows in through crevases and freeze inside the caves... some form icicles and others form stalagmites... so they freeze in different forms... sometimes its in giant walls, some are frozen rivers and others are like really cool shapes... one kinda looks like a polar bear, another an elephant... its absolutely amazing... i lucked out and got jumped to the front so the guy could translate for me... i wasn't able to take any pictures inside :(.. that was unfortunate... but the scenery while i was hiking up to the entrance was gorgeous, so i got some great pics of that! i'm getting really good at the backhanded self photo! i'm a pro now!
