. Anywhoo the botanical gardens has the best of everything...beautiful flowers, the sea walk, the view of the harbour and some pretty impressive statues...plus newly weds posing for pictures...which makes me wonder...since its only them and the photographer did they actually get married there or just faking it for the photos? Surely your wedding day is about creating real life memories? Anywhoo back to the garden..well we would be if this bloody bus would hurry up..I'll go check.............. Arrrrrrggghh!! It stops at 3.30 on a Friday...did I know that? I must if known that! Now I'm über late to meet Ben. And have sat there for twenty minutes and will now have to walk back to central station and pay!!! Grrr...although sneaky backpackers buy their tickets only from the machines so that they can get it half price and just hope to god they don't bump into a transport officer and face the 100 dollar fine :)
So, off I go realising I am in an impossible place to cross the five bits of road Iv somehow gotta get over so I go through the nearest tunnel deciding to abandon paying the fare and use my trusty steads god gave me. Within seconds of being inside the tunnel I realise I am an an Abbo settlement and the toothless woman facing me leers forward and starts to jiggle her cup in my face...abort plan...I turn and decide the 1.70 Is now worth it.
After getting lost in the station (as I do every single time, not just only trying to board the right train but actually trying to get out of the station...so bad once on New Year's Eve that I was stuck in there for half an hour and ended up befriending an elderly train conductor, carrying my heels under my arm...who then ended up trying to kiss me in return for helping me out!
Anyway finally at the beautiful botanical gardens Ben and I lay and chill and take in the views... Never have I lived in a place with such breathtaking scenery. This is where Ben discovers a new style of photography ...Handsun...#handsun, could this be a new trend?
After a few hours we walk back through the bustling harbour past the impressive opera house and people watch as the well dressed and tanned congregate over cocktails and watch the sunset at Sydney's largest hot spot..the opera bar...where I am definitely going to go when I Finally get a job!!!
Iv been like mother Teresa today , helped an Irish fella buy a bus ticket, chased a Spanish girls apples down the road...all whilst waiting for the free bus. This bus has become my best friend as being unemployed in one of the most expensive cities on the world is starting to take its toll. But with the help of the 555 I have been able to window shop in George street, oogling at all the things I can't buy, get to paddys market to buy four oranges (for which I now use half an orange a day with my usual breakfast), to Hyde park for a change of sunbathing scenery...who needs the beach anyway it's far too sandy and full of hot guys or to the rocks..the beautiful part of Sydney where wealthy and beautiful people dine amongst wealthy and beautiful scenery. But today I am taking the bus to the Botanical Gardens..one of the most beautiful places to be for free...couldn't believe my eyes when Seaman led us there on our run...(yes I have been running...once...and yes Seaman is a person ..I nicknamed it to him coz saying simone like simoné is too wierd for my mother tongue)
