Maanantai-aamuna klo 7:15 startattiin retkelle Mekong Deltalle.
Seuraavana aamuna kello 7 jatkettiin taas touria. Mentiin kattoo kelluvia taloja joissa kasvatettiin fisuja.

Monday morning at 7:15 our tour group to Mekong Delta started. The bus trip all the way to Mekong Delta took abput three hours if I recall it right. We took a boat there and and saw the floating market even though it was still a bit silent in the daytime. Then we went to see how they prepare coconut candies and after that continued to our lunch place. Our guide seemed stressed all the time and we were in constant hurry.. "eat your lunch in 20mins", "c'mon, lets go"etc. It started to disturb all of us.
Then again we took a bus to Chau Doc for around four hours. The guide changed during the trip and we got this funny story teller on board. He shared us the info why Vietnamese call toilets as happy houses or instead of asking where's the toilet they say I need to sing a happy song.. hahah..well it's a long story and I'll share it with you in Finland face-to-face someday.
Chau Doc was a small town with no street lights and as we arrived rather late we couldnt really explore the centre well. Obviously they don't get lot of tourists there. And first time we were warned about malaria mosquitoes.
The next morning at 7 the tour was on again. We still saw some floating houses and went to one those to see a fishing farm that was under one of the houses
Well it wasn't exactly a sight but their homes where thry sold silk scarves to tourists.
Finally we continued with the small boat to the border where we had lunch and our visas were handled. We had to wait quite a long until the boat from Cambodian site came. From the border it took three more hours to chnage to a bus and 1.5hrs to drive a bumpy road to Phnom Penh. And no security checks were done at the border.
Next entry from Phnom Penh.
see ya, Nora

Mekong delta river trip
. They just opened the wooden floor panels and fed the fish from there. The houses are funny, a sight themselves. The last thing was to visit a muslim minority village, where the men could take four wives.. Well it wasn't exactly a sight but their homes where thry sold silk scarves to tourists.
Finally we continued with the small boat to the border where we had lunch and our visas were handled. We had to wait quite a long until the boat from Cambodian site came.
