Minibussi Bogoriin oli vahan miellyttavampi kokemus ilmastoinnin takia. Matka kesti noin nelisen tuntia ja meil oli seuraakin siella. Meian vieressa istu Landa (jos muistan nimen oikein) kenen kanssa juteltiin jotain. Hauska tyyppi.
Me ajettiin 2000metrin korkeudessa ja siel oli ihanan viileeta ja hienot maisemat. Meiat jatettiin Pensione Firmanin luo (taas luotettiin Lonely Planetiin) mista otettiin huone seuraavaks pariks yoks. Maisemat sielta terassilta oli hienot, kaupungin kattoja ja vuoristoa, mut muuten se hotelli on nahny parhaat paivansa ja tarttis tosiaan vahan kunnostusta. Ja vessat oli taas manuaalisesti huuhdottavia, ah meidan koto-Suomen ihania puhtaita vessoja. Jopa Rautatieaseman vessat on hienoja naihin verrattuna ;D
Ekana iltana kaytiin turisti-infossa ja ne miehet oli tosi hauskoja siella. Ilmeisesti turisteja ei paljonkaan nay siella ja ne oli kovia puhumaan ja kertomaan juttuja. Myos neuvottiin varomaan taskuvarkaita varakkaita turisteja kun ollaan..
Seuraava paiva meni Kebun Raya Botanic Gardenissa, eli puutarhassa. Hollantilaisten suunnittelema joskus vuonna yks ja kaks. Tosi hieno, paljon palmuja ja pensaita, suihkulahteita ja lampia yms. Niin ja isoimmat paivasaikaan liikkuvat lepakot mita oon ikina nahny.. melkeen pikkukoiran kokosia...yak! ja ne lenteli siel puiston ylla ja roikku puissa, eika niit ollu ihan vahan. Mut siel oli kiva viettaa paivaa ja kaytiin syomassakin siella hienossa (ja ainoossa) kaffilassa. Sen puistoalueen sisalla oli myos Elaintieteellinen museo mihin mentiin heti ekana.

Tosin se oli varmaan iki-vanha 1800-luvun lopulta jos oikeen muistan ja silta se nayttikin. Siel oli paljon koululaisia ja pian ma jouduinkin niitten kuvien kohteeks. Yksi suomalainen Norsu bongattu elaintieteellisessa! Ne sai hyvat naurut kun ma vastasin niitten kiitoksiin sanomalla 'ole hyva' bahasa indonesialla. (helppo suomalaisen sanoa: sama sama)Jaaa sitten hengailtiin taas kauppakeskuksessa, niist on tullu meian lempipaikkoja huomaan.
Meian suuret suunnitelmat oli jatetty loppureissulle. Tarkotus oli paasta Carita-rannalle ihan lansi-Jaavalle mista paasis Krakatau-tulivuorellekin retkelle. Mentiin aamulla bussiasemalle bemolla ja kysyttiin sielta bussia Caritan lahikaupunkiin Labuangiin. En tieda missa meni vikaan kun meiat ohjattiin bussiin missa luki Pl.Ratu. Tarkistettiin viela muutamalta tyypilta onks bussi oikea ja silta se naytti...

The shuttlebus to Bogor was a little more pleasant than usually. They had aircon and it was effective. Journey lasted four hrs approximately and we had company too. A woman called Landa (if I recall the name right) sat next to us and chatted with us, nice person really! Greetz if you read this! ;)
We drove through Puncak Pass which is as high as 2000meters above sea and it was nicely chilly out there and viewsd were great. In Bogor we were left per request to Pensione Firman (trust we in LP) where we had room for the next two nights.
Kebun Raya Botanical Garden, Bogor
The landscape from the terraces of the hotel was awesome, rooftops and a big mountain, but in total the pension needed some renovation. Once again manually flushable toilets, boy,do I miss our toilets back home. ;) The first night we walked areound to tourist info and the guys there were very friendly and funny. Obviously there aren't many tourists and they were more than happy to see some. The chatted a lot and had many sotries to tell. And warned us of pickpockets too, rich Westerns as we look..
The next day we spent in Kebun Raya Botanic Garden which was very beautiful and good place to linger around a day. Created by Dutch I recall. Lot of palmtrees, bonds, fountains, benches etc. and bats size of small dogs!! Puff, were they ugly and scary flying around in the daytime. We also had a dinner in the only cafe inside the gates. And toured the Zoological Museum too. That was really oldie, from the late 19th century and it sure looked old too. Lot of students were around and after a while I became the actual sight there and cameras started to flash. One Finnish Norsu (an elephant) seen in the museum!
Our great plans were saved for the rest three days in Indonesia. The plan was to reach Carita Beach in the very West coast of Java. And to see Krakatau too. We went to the Bogor bus station in the morning and asked around whether there is a bus to Labuang, near Carita. We were directed to a bus that said Pl.Ratu and after checking out the location from few more guys we sat on the bus. Don't stillknow what went wrong.. see the next entry for our adventure.
