Ko Phangan, me like it. Ainakin aluks..
Puoltoista tuntii lautalla ja ollaan siella. Vahan isompi saari kun Ko Tao, ja vahan enemman porukkaa. Me paatettiin jo heti et halutaan sinne Haad Riniin, missa kaikki bileet on. Siita Thongsalan satamasta autolla joku 20minsaa. Siella valittiin auringonlaskupuoli missa on rauhallisempi majotus. Se on siis pieni niemenkarki ja molemmilla puolilla on rannat, siks toista kutsutaan auringonnousu puoleks (bilepuoli) ja toinen auringolasku puoli (rauhallisempi). Mut sa kavelet helposti kymmenes minsas toiselta puolelta toiselle.
Sita kutsutaan myos pikku Bangkokiks mutta ei se niin suosittu ollu nyt. Ehka koska tayden kuun bileet oli just :( ja seuraavat vasta 22pv. eli ei paasta niihin talla kertaa mut ei sielta silti bileita puuttunu. Meian resortti oli Neptune's Villa niminen ja bungalowi siella makso 500bahtia

. Tosi siisti ja mukavat tyontekijat. Me otettiin lunkisti torstai ja perjantai koska mun uuden vuoden lupaus oli viela paalla. Oltiin rantsussa paivat, siella bilepuolella koska nousuvesi valtas meidan puolen ja muutenkin vesi oli puhtaampaa itaisella puolella. Lauantaina sain suklaakaakun aamupalaks ja onnittelulaulun koska 25vuotta oli taynna!!!! KAAAAAAAK! Miks se tuntuu niin paljolta vaikkei ees oo..
(ja kakun olin vaatinu et se pitaa olla..hehe..)
Ja sit lahettiinkin meian buukkaamalle retkelle. Otettiin siit Haad Rinin satamasta longboat, eli vene, meit oli mina, Raffi ja kuus muuta kundia..hehe, ei paha synttaripaiva ollenkaan. Plus ne paikalliset retken jarkkaajat. Me lahettiin kiertaa saarta, pysahdyttiin eka kattomassa vesiputousta missa sai uida. Sit jatkettiin seuraavaan paikkaan missa uitiin kirkkaassa vedessa ja otettiin vahan aurinkoo. Ja sita seuraavalla rannalla meil oli lounas piknikki ja sit snorklattiin! Ja ma sain mun pelastusliivin!! ;) Se oli siistii, paljon erilaisii fisuja ja koralleja, eika pelottanu yhtaan vaik syvyytta oli nelisen metrii. Tosin ma olinkin melkeen ainoo kella oli liivi, paitsi ne paikalliset naiset, jotka sano ettei ne osaa uida..heh.
Snorklattiin jonkun aikaa ja jatkettiin viela saaren ympari ja palattiin kotiin joskus kuuden maissa illalla

. Ja sit pienet paikkarit ennen iltaa. Tehtiin taas pienta tilastotutkimusta ennen kun jamahdettiin yhteen paikkaan bilettamaan. Kaytiin mm. Cactus baarissa missa katottiin hienoo tulishowta (paikallinen eirkoisuus ilmeisesti).
Ja sit paadyttiin Drop-In baariin missa porukat jo tanssi rannalla, siel oli hyvaa musaa, jonkun verran paikallisii mika oli kivaa ja sit hyva meno muutenkin. Pian oltiin jo tanssilattian partaveitsia ja bileet jatku meian kohalla aina aamuneljaan asti (muistaakseni ;))
Sain paikallisen ystavankin, Emman, ja yks Thai kundi tanssitti mua..hehe..
Hauska ilta ja kaamee seuraava aamu... Paikalliset bucketit on aika vahvoja, ei siita sen enempaa. ;D Viihdyttiin ihan hyvin ko.saarella mut esim. internet tosi kallis! Ja miten porukat jaksaa bilettaa koko ajan.. huh...
Seuraavana paivana mentiin viel Leela rantsulle, mika oli ihan taydellinen, tosin paljon ihmisii ja Coco hut resortti varannu koko rannan. Mut jos suljit silmas niilta :)
Joo, ja tiistaina lahettiin Krabia kohden. Heratys kello 5:30 ja arvatkaa, ma luulin et kello soi ja pitaa lahtee duuniin!

! hahaha, nyt jo alkaa kummittelemaan tulevat duunipaivat... mut onneks pian tajusin et ah, mahan oon meian bungalowissa meren rannalla ja nyt jatketaan matkaa... rakkaita terkkuja, nora

Howdy my friends,
Ko Phangan felt really nice place after the peace and quiet of Ko Tao. At least first...
It took 1.5hrs by ferry to get there. Its a bit bigger island than Tao, and obviously more people too. We already decided in the beginning that we'll accommodate in Haad Riin at the southern tip of the isle. That's where all the parties take place.
From the pier at Thongsala we took a group cab and the ride took appr.20mins to reach our destination. We wanted to stay at the sunset side of the tip since it calmer at night than sunrise (party beach). It takes about 10mins to reach the other side since it's a small tip of coast.
People call Haad Riin as little Bangkok but it wasn't that busy now, maybe partly coz the full moon party just happened. And next time on 22nd when we're not here :( Not that there weren't any other shin digs.. Our resort was Neptune's Villa and a bungalow there with a fan cost 500bahts. It'c nice and clean and great staff there too.
We took it easy on Thu and Fri coz I happened to make the resolution to stay completely sober until my bday on 12th. WE sunbathed daily at the sunrise side coz the tide was high on our, western side

. And cleaner too. On Sat morning I got my choco cake and happy bday song, since 25years has reached my body and soul. (noooot...)
We had booked a snorkelling trip around the island for the day. We took off at the Haad Rin Pier with a longboat, me, Raffi and six other guys (yeah, bday sure started well..;)) Besided the local organisers. The first stop we hiked to see a water fall where you could dip in the water. In the next place we sunbathed and swam in very clear water. The third stop was a lunch, picnic, break at a white sandy beach where we also swan and did some snorkelling. And I got my life jacket too! ;) (me, and the locals snorkelled with the jacket..) It was great though, lots of corals, different colorful fish and not scared at all even though it was about 4meters there.
After that we still continued around the isle and reached our pier around six in the eve. Lil nap before a night out and we were party oooon!
Did some bar hopping before ended up in the last place, Drop-In bar. They had nice fireshows again, people danced on the beach already, very good music and also locals around which was nice. Soon after bucket and another we hit the dance floor with gretedt moves ever made ;D And stayed there until four in the morning, as I recall it..

. I also got one local friend, Emma, and one Thai guy I shared one dance. (no, it wasnt slow dance) Great eve, not so great morning! The buckets are really effective I noticed. Spend the day in bed, head still dizzy. We liked the place but it was somehow priced for tourists, like internet...the whole town joined their forces and ask the same price per min.
The last day there we visited Leela Beach which was actually near paradise IF you dont see and hear the people and Coco Hut resort there ;)
On Tuesday morninng we woke up at 5:30 for a bus to Krabi. And poor me thought I was waken to get to work. It took a while to clear my head to realise Im still in our bungalow next to beach and travelling still continues.. :)
