Where I stayed
OK this is a short blog today. I just want to upload some photos but it's nearly 11pm (very late by my standards!!) and we need to get up at 5.30am for the early train to Beijing.
So having had a good night's sleep we felt ready to tackle another day in the capital. We met up with Andreas (who we met on the train from Moscow) and did the cultural thing visiting some museums and temples. It was cold and rainy today, but not that we minded too much....as our thoughts kept going back to the national park and all the dead animals that we saw, we realised that the rain is exactly what they need to make the grass grow, which in turn will provide food for the still starving horses, cattle, goats and sheep that have suffered so much this winter.
We also bought a couple of nice little paintings from a Scottish lady who runs a fairtrade company in UB and has been living here for 7 years
Anyway, after the visits to the museums and temples we went out for an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ..and believe it or not they had vegetables...yeah!!!
So off to bed now so I can actually get up tomorrow.
Next blog from China!!
