The Brothers Z Graduate

Its something that always felt like it was years away...Graduation. I remember sitting on the front porch in Clayton and smoking cigarettes with Pete and Steve. Those days, the idea of graduation was something that we all new was looming, but never really put any thought into what it meant. It seemed so far off that we didn't have to think about it...just new (or hoped) that it would happen.
From our front porch the world was smaller, much more simple. Those days we were invincible...nothing stopped us. Or at least thats how we perceived things. All we knew back then was what was right in front of us. It seemed like Pete would never graduate, but instead turn into that older guy that all the young freshman girls flirted with. Wait...thats exactly how it happened. I'd go to his plays...watch his acting progressively get better...and see all the young girls swooning at him.
Steve was to become some great music composer...and I still believe that. I'd wake up on a Saturday to the sound of Steve practicing in the basement. It was never a thing where I was upset that I had been woken up. Instead I'd stumble down stairs and pick up the bass guitar and we'd start the day off right. Those are the things that I remember best about the Z's, those years living with them in Clayton. Villa Clayton was a great experience. Good parties. Great Jams. And memories that will last a lifetime.
However, The college days are over...for the most part. This means the beginning of a different chapter of all of our lives. The future is uncertain for all of us. I hope that whatever paths we each take, that the brothers will be able to join me in my travels...they are without a doubt my best friends. In fact the whole Mt. Laurel crew is in that category.
In celebration of the end of one chapter and beginning of another, we celebrated at the Z's house in Mt. Laurel... and did it with style. We started the night off pretty easy....drinking and playing beer pong. As the night progressed we jammed some and played a few games of pool boche, a game that we had invented at villa Clayton. Of course, more drinking and eventually we got into an intense game of Guess Who. Other games of the night included regular pool, ping pong, and hearts. Take into account all the items that I mentioned and sprinkle ridiculous drunkenness all over it. It was a good night.
