Again, he is quite specific about his breakfast requirements; weetabix with warm milk, raisins, banana and strawberries. He is delighted with this and makes very light work of it. I get started on my new morning routine of lemon and hot water, herb tea, and my carrot, celery, lemon, and apple juice. I am currently quite high maintenance! I then rustle up my magic porridge and chat happily with Woody. I turn my back on him for about 1 second and he goes and wakes up Noah. He cannot resist. Noah gets up and dutifully looks at the bits Woody has made from Lego and joins in.
I make a start on getting the blog up to date
The weather is a bit strange; sunny, windy, cloudy all in a matter of moments. But we decide to head to Broadbeach with optimism in our hearts. And so has everyone else apparently. Everyone is at the beach. Well, more in the park or the cafe's than on the actual sand – which is practically deserted. There is one man with a pushchair standing in this distance. Woody is running and looking down at his feet as he run. So engrossed in his feet Woody somehow manages to run into the man, or more specifically, into his pushchair. He runs into it with such force he actually falls over. The man cannot believe it, we cannot believe. We laugh and laugh. And then we stop laughing, and remember it, and start laughing all over again. The man assured us he was going to get some witches hat and flashing lights to put around him, so it would not happen again!
Woody and Noah play on the beach for ages. Running up and down the sand dune, look for treasure and Woody spent a long time just climbing up the dun and then rolling down.
Then we head home, via a beach we have not been to before and then we take a drive along the spit because it is such a lovely day.
Then we head home. The fellas play and I attempt some tidying up (fruitless) and rustling up some dinner, which again does not go according to plan as I missing a key ingredient. So I pull together a dinner which is nowhere near as good as the one I had planned.
Woody has a bath gets ready for bed and then we Skype Nanny papa. Woody has some milk and cake and chats happily, getting toys from his room and generally being lovely. When Woody starts to get a bit past it he brushes his teeth, gets into bed, and nanny reads him 3 stories. Woody loves this and promises he will go straight to sleep afterwards, and he does.
Noah and I blog, but really watch Masterchef – it was great.
We have loads on this week and I certainly do not have a grip on what we need to do. So I am hoping between today and tomorrow it comes together.
Good night. x
