Well today started off as eventful as ever with a leak in our bathroom - not quite sure where its coming from but it ruined all our special toilet paper, and at £1 a pop I wasn't happy!!Anyway, we (or should I say Paul) cleared it up and got on with the day!
So, we had booked a ferry to take us to Pulpit Rock, which is a hanging ledge off a cliff face left from the Ice Age, and Lysefjorden which is the largest Fjord in Norway (check me out!!). We had both been looking forward to this as all the piccies we've seen look amazing, but were actually a little disappointed - mainly cos the cruise we had booked didn't allow us to actually go up to the top of the rock itself, so we could only view it from the boat! The weather again, bit better than yesterday but not great so lots of clouds covered the top of the cliffs!Glad we went on it though, as we did see some great sights, like the fjord, waterfalls and the goats that live in these mountains, but we just wished we booked one that we could have got up to the top of the rock!Anyway that's our fault, and we'd have probably passed out after a four hour hike to the top and back!!
So, we're heading off tomorrow in search of some sunshine, and a bit better luck - we did take a drink of the natural spring water from the waterfall so lets hope that brings us a bit!Heading down the North Sea Road to Oslo, but will probably free park somewhere tomorrow night on the way, so sorry guys you may be without us for the night!
Our first campsite has been an experience - we'll be pros next time, and we have been graced with the prescence of the Swiss Volleyball team (which Paul seemed to enjoy, but I didn't as they kept hitting our camper with their bloody ball!), and our new arrivals a brass band - so maybe not so much sleep tonight then!
Anyway, think thats it for now - hope all is well back home!
Chat soon, Claire & Paul
