The drive in was nightmarish. First the narrow wreck lines 'streets' of a 3rd world nation, and then into a snaking climb on eaqually narrow streets. The only time we stopped to look at the view, we found that the lookout was also a rubbish dump (which we have come to expect from Italy). When we arrived, my stress levels had reached a high that I thought was unattainable. Note, that after quizzing the hotel staff, they said that we had come in the long/wrong way - Ken the GPS has a lot to answer for!).
The coast here is nice as long as you dont look to closely. The water is a green-blue and very clear as long as you look between the occasional rubbish drifts.
I have added some photos of Positano which is a few km from Praiano. It cost 1Euro to catch a bus in
Its been quite hot here and you can't beat the weather aftewr what we had in Germany! The hotel has a pool. Its been great to grab a few beers and sit in the pool looking out over the ocean.
When we left Praiano we went out the correct way and the road was a bit better and the windy bit a lot shorter.
Note that we have altered our plans - We are heading into Austria and then back into Germany. Karen is a lot happier.
