We did an overnight in Lindau on the Bodensee.  The whole Bodensee area seems overrated from what we saw while we were there and driving along the top of  the See the next day.  Lindau Islet is very touristy and very busy.  I would not come back to this area. 

Maybe the southern side would be better?
