Buenos Aires is generally a very beautiful city, with itīs wide, well designed streets & little parks & squares dotted everywhere but Palermo is particularly fabulous.
There are miles & miles of parkland in Palermo - seperated into different themes with a Japanese Garden, zoo, lakes & a gorgeous Rose garden.
I explored them by bike on a tour with http://www.biketours.com.ar/ing/index.html and as the only person on the tour that day got to mooch around at my own pace. The one way system & wide streets & pavements make BA quite easy to explore by bike & once you hit the extensive parks you barely see a car.
I parks were all strangely quiet when I cycled through on a Thursday but when I returned on the weekend with the girls for a picnic they where jam packed with families enjoying the sunshine. There is a wide track around the riose gardens which was full of runners, walkers and roller bladers.
