Planes, buses and boats
Entry 2 of 15 | show all | print this entry |
After 25 hours of travelling, I arrived in Tulcea, on the Danube River. (Sorry Barbara and Shirley- I didn't listen). No major problem with jet lag.
I did get a marriage proposal from a taxi driver in Bucuresti that has a friend in Tulcea that wants to go to America. Perhaps I should buy a ring to were, since many people seem to look at my hand to see if I am married, and seem rather shocked that I am not.
On Friday, I take a boat to Sf. Gheorghe, where the Danube meets the Black Sea. This is where the banding camp is.
Low on computer battery, and need to go find an electrical adaptor.

I knew you wouldn't listen to moderation. (reply) Oct 25, 2007 06:51 EST by langeb
You must give us more information. Is it cold? Where are you staying? How big is the boat to the Black Sea? I hope it isn't a row boat. Is the wine good? You know the mportant things.
Why didn't you ask me for a converter? They are not easy to find there just find a entire new outlet so you can keep us posted.
Much love, Barbara
