S'il vous plait..merci,oui, and so on....we made it to Canada, the French speaking part. It's like being over in Europe (or so I would think from my limited Irish experience). Everthing is written and spoken in French. We've used hand gestures. Old Quebec is a cluster of restaurants, old hotels, and lots of shops, wound up on a little hill and walled in with a fort (to keep those pesky brits out) and a castle. Did a bit of shopping, bought a Canadian flag, and then found a great and crowded restaurant for dinner, a drink, dessert, and coffee. Off to look at some art, and then maybe a drink and then try to find our hotel again. A bit more walking in this city in the morning and then off to Montreal.
