Visit Klenske, Ink.

After a morning stroll along the beach, we caught our transfer up to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. We spent a good part of Friday at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It's a quasi-zoo that displays all the aussie animals and then has a huge koala and kangaroo population roaming (and hopping) around. The kangaroos were great. You could actually get up close enough to pet them. We even got to hold a koala. Also saw the dingo (which didn't eat anybody's baby today), a tazmanian devil and the wombat, which reminded us of mia (about the same size and roundness, minus the tail).

The evening we hit the pedestrian shopping area which was quite lively on Friday night. Brisbane is the third largest city in Australia and its fastest growing A Relaxing Roo

. It's located along the Brisbane river and is overall a great city. We found some food at, you guessed it, an Irish pub and stayed for a couple of pints before wandering around the mall a bit more and stopping for a coffee.

Saturday morning we headed to the Southbank of the river and walked along the river walk, enjoyed breakfast at a riverside cafe, and then explored the arts and crafts fair and the various shops. Catching a late afternoon flight up north to Cairns and then on to the rainforest and the great barrier reef.
