Since Keith didn't have to attend the classes, we had a free morning. Our original plan was to hang around until after dinner and take the doctor and his wife out, but since they weren't there, we decided to go home after lunch. We spent the morning at the Frick Museum right across from Central Park. Once the residence of Henry Frick (a steel magnate), it houses his private collection of art. It is impressive, with everything from Rembrandt, to a Renior to Stuart's portrait of George Washington to Holbien's famous portrait of Sir Thomas More. There are whole rooms of just Fragonards and Bouchers. If you ever have a chance to see it, I would recommend going. Then you can stroll through Central Park afterward, like we did
Okay, I confess, it wasn't a stroll and it wasn't pleasant. It was COLD. We only did it because we were meeting a young woman from our church for lunch. She attends Julliard and whenever we are in the city we treat her to lunch. I managed to take a couple of photos while we were walking. The wind was brutal and we were pretty chilled by the time we made it to the restaurant. We ate at a Mexican place across the street from Lincoln Center. The walk back wasn't as bad. The wind had died down so we weren't nearly as cold. ( I am going to add some pictures of Central Park when it is nice out.)
After lunch, we drove home. I am glad we got to come home early, as it was really too cold to go walking around. Friday wasn't too bad, but today it was just brutal.
