We had paid for the ship transfers to the airport since the airport was about an hour away from the port. We had to be ready to leave at 8:00. After a final breakfast and goodbye to our two favorite deck stewards, Max and Ritchie, we sadly left. We had traveled 1815 Nautical miles or 2,087.25 land miles, not counting the miles I walked around the promenade deck in the mornings, the miles Keith walked on the treadmill, or the miles we walked through museums, ruins, over the bridges in Venice, up and down hills and through sights.
By the time we checked in, went through immigration and security, we had about 20 minutes until boarding. The plane trip was 11 hours and 30 minutes back to Philadelphia. No luggage was lost and we were out on the sidewalk in 35 minutes from deplaning. All 3 kids came to pick us up.
We will go back some day to see things we didn't have time to see. For now, we have the memories of the good times and the pictures to remind us of what we have seen.

Welcome Home...
Glad to have you back on this side of the ocean. But, wish you could have seen all you wanted to. I hope some day you get to return and finish that wonderful sight seeing tour.
Thanks for all the great pictures and info on all the sights. Had a great armchair tour with you.
