Okay my first week and a half were spent between Lima and Y-Camp on the beach and the winter camp in azpitia... the y-camp is amazing its on the beach between the desert and the pacific ocean... you can see the huge sand dunes and the mountains (well theyre actually hills but look like mountains to me!) ill try to post photos soon - i took a ton-- the ymca in lima is insane there is always something going on between 7 am and 1030 pm... the hospedaje where the other internationals and i stayed was right across from the dance classrooms which again started at 700am and ended at 1000pm so music played constantly. okay there is so much that happened the first week and a half i really dont know where to begin... i guess i need to catch up on here. oops. well just so you know i am safe and sound and am now in trujillo. more about trujillo and volunteering later. i didnt get to see much of lima so i hope to explore more when the volunteer work is over.. i cant believe i have already been here two and a half weeks!
and so the adventure begins...

Glad to see you made it safe.
Back at the ranch - 87 people were informed of their 'sunset' date a week or so ago - myself included - they are cleaning house at Y-USA and takin' out the trash. Our jobs last until June 30th.
Travel safely - you are in my thoughts often!
