Visited miraflores, the suburb in Lima on the cliffs again. This time we walked around and found a book fair, and had the best churros I've ever had in my life.

Dinner was a special event, we splurged on a ridiculous restaurant called Astrid y Gaston. It's ranked the 14th best restaurant in the world, and is really something else.

We go on a journey.. Through a mans life who has left his hometown in Peru, through his travels to end up in a foreign land. The menu takes us through the journey, it's matched with wine.. And by the end of the 4 hour experience, I'm so full, but more importantly just blown away by the quality of food I had just eaten. They give you a leather bound book, with a CD soundtrack of the music they played that night, the menu, and pictures the represent the journey.

It was over the top crazy.

The next day was lunch at Central, another fancy restaurant with big plates and small food. The number of courses means you're still full, and again a book given with the menu and some postcards. Crazy. I can't believe people do this on the regular.

So it's goodbye to Lima and Peru, and hello to Quito and Ecuador tomorrow. Peru will be missed.
