I've been asked a number of times what I do in a day if I don't have a job. Well, previously, I spent the time studying Japanese. I enjoyed doing that, and I learned a lot, but I got tired of it.
I still want to learn Japanese, but I got distracted with knitting.
I've found a new love. Knitting is a lot of fun. I started with some practice stuff, just making shapes and such.
Then I made 2 scarves out of some awesome slubby stuff I found at the 100yen shop.
Ashleigh is talking about getting me some knitting needles for my birthday, so I'm super stoked
That's also why it's taken me such a long time to write journal entries - my hands are taken up by knitting needles.
Ashleigh thinks it's cute, tho I can tell that she's a little embarrassed since she doesn't want me to bring my knitting onto road trips and such. I guess it is a little odd for Japanese men to be doing knitting, but it's cool anyways.
I've decided that I'm going to cut down (for now) on knitting and focus more on learning Japanese.
