I thought I had a job with a school in Matsuyama since I had a good interview - then I didn't, but now I sort of do. I guess that's the way the superball bounces.

As I said before, I had a pretty good interview - I wowed the interviewer with my background, my attempt at learning TEFL stuff, and my eloquence.. that and I said I could do web stuff, graphics and T-shirts, that helped.

Unfortunately, the position was filled by someone more qualified. Funny thing is, since I'm a Japanese citizen, I can honestly and truly say that a foreigner took a job away from me.

Damn foreigners.

Whatever, they're looking to hire me in June. There's only one problem: they're looking to hire me in JUNE! that's 3 months away. the position starts on June 20th, so that's a long long time away from June 1st.

After talking to the interviewer, who BTW, is the principal, she said that she can drum up some part-time work for me to do in the mean-time. This could be my chance to shine. I can show them my abilities, before they hire me full-time. It's good not to need sponsorship.

I think this is fantastic, though the only problem is that I will soon be needing money. I need to buy food, pay for stuff.. etc. I'm glad I have quite a bit saved up, I didn't think I was going to need as much as I have, but I'm really glad I have it now. Considering my current rate of spending, I should be good for a while. I really have to thank John, Michiyo and my aunt for that.

The reason I want this job so much is that it allows me flexibility. This job is the only one that hasn't said that I need to rent an apartment from them. This way, if I want to live with Ash, I can. Right now, we're trying to figure out if it's ok if I live in her current apartment (which is owned by the school she's going to be working for.). However, her boss hasn't gotten back to her.

Other than that, things have been going good. Aside from my purchasing frenzy (see prev post), I've pretty much stayed in the house. I'm near done with my TEFL test, although, just like every other class, I started strong and now I'm starting to get lower test scores. I suck at classes like that. I get amped and do really well, then I start to falter..

Quoting Fred Lopez, quoting someone else, "it's not how you start, it's how you finish."

Anyways, I've applied to one other job, although they don't seem as interested in me as the other school, and their position starts in June 23rd.

I'll end this one here.
