We're in Kuala Lumpa, and flying to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo this afternoon. We got a bus from Ko Lanta (Thailand), and it took us through 2 other towns in Thailand, and we finally arrived at 4am this morning !! The bus was really nice. We had big comfartable chairs that went back. We didnt really sleep though because the road was bumpy. The bus was supposed to arrive at KL at 6am, but was 2 hours early, and we hadn't booked a hotel. We were too tired not to sleep, so we followed some Swedish travellers to their hotel. It was really nice, but a bit pricey. The Swedes argued with the reception guy for half an hour because he didnt have their booking and wanted to charge them full price, so we finally got to bed at about 5am this morning, so we're shattered.
We're at KL city centre. It looks really nice here. We're in a big shoppping complex with all the western shops! It also has a big xmas tree in the middle, which is confusing Gary because its a Muslim country. Its strange to even think about xmas because it feels like summer here. I loved Thailand, and its a shame to leave, but I think Malaysia will be even better. We're both exited about going diving again. The diving's great out here, and one of the best dive sites in the world is where we're going. I still have to pass my final 2 dive exams though because I panicked when we had to flood our masks under water, so I have to dive supervised until then. I cant wait for Borneo. They have Probiscus monkeys with big red noses and big red other areas !!! ha ha.
We just have a couple of hours today in Kuala Lumpa. We're in the Twin Towers (Petrolas Towers) right now. We're going to go up the towers and then to one of the worlds largest aquariums.
I can't believe we only have 8 days left before we fly to Australia !!
