It was fun to see how rubbish this cheap trip would be.
We arrived at pregnant Maiden Island and there must have been about 400 tourists and nearly the same amount of monkeys.
We had 1 hr to walk around and see the fresh water lake at its heart we did so it was nice but too busy!
Back in the boat & next we went to see an area where lots of eagles were feeding from a bay this was to be our 2nd visit we just pulled up in the boat didn’t get out it was great to watch the birds dive and catch from the water
I spent allot of time watching Osprey in Australia but there dives were less frequent, unfortunately after 1 minute we left which was a right shame this was the highlight of the trip but I guess to the average tourist watching birds is not as fun, yet they still try hard to get there face in a photo with the birds in the background.
Next stop would be our isolated beach visit turned out to be a nice beach but crazy full of tourists we had a swim for a while, but was a bit put off the water because when we got off the boat we spotted a jelly fish the size of a 1 year old child.
Back on the boat and back to port where we found a stall that without really realising people taken our pictures as we boarded the boat in the morning printed them out and stuck them on a small plastic plate and the plate was headed ‘Langkawi island hopping’ so funny and tacky we was expected to pay for the plates only £2 each but they were so rubbish we didn’t bother but in a way wanted to because they was so bad.
So all in all the trip was a load of rubbish we certainly got what we paid for. but we enjoyed the day looking at the funny side of money grabbing from tourists.
Back on the mainland we jumped on our moped and found a nice quite place on the beach for lunch.
Then a nap back at the hostel then a nice quite place on the beach for dinner.
