Where I stayed
We arrived at Klagenfurt station, visited the city center, farmer's market and made our way to the Gasthof Müller via Monica. Klagenfurt is a wonderful town, very unique and very lush with vegetation! I was surprised to see a number of farmer's out among the homes baling hay and a number of vegetable gardens full of produce. Trey's family is amazing and I will miss them all very dearly. Everyone has been patient with my Deutsche and i'm slowly learning new words and expressions everyday. Off to rest! Gute Nacht!
We arrived in Klagenfurt on Saturday 21st around 11am. It was nice traveling through southern Austria and seeing the city disappear into farmland and rolling hills. The verdict on Trey is that he is feeling alot better. I was starting to get really worried about him, especially about carrying his pack if he became very ill :-). But i think the travels from Wien to Klagenfurt really stirred up alot of emotion for him as he was quite joyous (T had tears in his eyes several times during the trip). We conversed with a young woman from Croatia (Martina) who was traveling to school. She was very curious about America and the diverse landscape. For some reason Martina was interested in Arkansas which struck a cord in me because the ozarks are quite similar to some of the terrain we were traveling through.
