Hi there everyone!
Well we've left Nazca on the overnight bus and what a delightful (weird) experience that was. The bus itself was great, complete with stewardess to look after us and give us breakfast in the morning - but that's if you can call a cold hotdog roll breakfast! Great for vegetarians! Anyway, some of us got some sleep, especially on the straight roads but once the bends started so did the swaying particularly on the top deck  After leaving Nazca at 11.30pm we arrived in Arequipa at about 7.30am, taxied to the hotel and grabbed some decent breakfast.

The city itself is beautiful but the most important thing was that we found a great coffee shop 'Cusco coffee' which actually serves something remotely like a cappuccio as we know it! Other coffees we've had have been awful so this was a great find.

We had a look at the museo santuanes andinas which is home to the frozen ice mummy Juanita. This mummy has been frozen at the top of a nearby volcano for over 500 years and was apparently sacrificed to the gods. Interesting stuff.

Anyway, we now have a side trip to the Colca Canyon for 2 days - should be great especially if we get to see some condors!

Ciao for now!
