today we hired a driver and drove
around bali. this was our program:

we saw some sort of dance show. it was a mix between comedy, dance and theatre accompanied by balinese gamelan music. i love gamelan music. i don't know what it is but i really like it! the comedy part was really strange though. they were very perverted and after some time it really wasn't funny anymore. but it was a good show and the costumes were gorgeous. my favourite part though really was the orchestra!

royal family temple:
a nice temple, about which i know nothing at all. it was a nice enough temple but not my favourite.

rice terraces:
the rice terraces are soooo beautiful!!! they create a sort of pattern which looks very natural even though it's manmade. other than that i really can't describe them. it's just gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

the best part of today's tour was the bedulung temple in the lake bratan noth of ubud. the temple has two buildings in the lake and then there are a couple of buildings on land. it is beautiful! the lake, the temple... and the weather was great too. we managed to take a couple of great pictures of the temples. we also took some time to just enjoy the scenery. wish we could've spent more time there.

kopi luwak:
now the last stop was probably the most interesting one. we visited a place where the grow
different spices, coffee, cocoa, etc.the also turn the plants into products. they have many different kinds of coffee and teas. there's ginger tea, lemongrass tea, coconut coffee, vanilla coffee, ginger coffee, and many more. the most interesting thing though is that the produce kopi luwak, or luwak
coffee. luwak is the name of an animal which belongs to the family of cats. the fruit and coffee beans. the only eat the best coffee beans and apparently don't digest them entirely because they collect the luwak poop, take the coffee beans, sanitize them and roast them. so basically it's cat poop coffee. aaaaand, we gave it a try! it actually tastes really good! which makes sense i guess,
since they must call it the best coffee in the world for a reason. you have to like strong black coffee to appreciate it though.anyhow, it was a lot fun since we got to try so many things. so should you ever go to bali, you have to go there!!!

alright, that's enough. i keep writing so much even if i don't mean to. i'm sorry...
