. J Lucky me!! After that we met up with Joel and drove to my practice coach’s place (same elevator deal again!) where we had an amazing Risotto dinner. Later we went to this place called 1Altitude downtown. It’s a bar on a roof which is 300 meters above sea level. The view is AMAZING! You could see all the way to Indonesia! We got to admire the light or laser show of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel as well. Very pretty!
I must say, Singapore is quite the crazy place. Right now it seems like everything is about knowing how to live the high life. Lots of clubs, bars and parties, resorts and parks, shopping malls, you name it. So far, I really like it. I love the climate which is hot and humid. Sort of reminds me of Africa. Can’t wait to discover more…! J
So we've arrived, safe and sound. Luckily Joel and I were both able to sleep on the plane so it went by really quickly. I did manage to lose my passport though. We got on our first plane and all of a sudden I’m thinking to myself "Hmm, where is my passport?" After successfully controlling my emotions of hysteria and panic I found it again under the seat behind me… Fortunately, everything else was fine. We got on the right plane, it took us to Singapore (including our luggage) and we were welcomed by my practice coach and one of the ladies who are kindly letting me stay with them for two weeks. We took a cab to her place, which is near the Botanic Garden. You know I thought I knew luxury cause we used to have electric blinds which could be set in motion by pushing button but man, here the elevator takes you straight to you apartment. It literally leads you into the living room. How sweet is that? Anyhow, I got settled in and had a well-deserved shower in my very own bathroom
