After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived on Phag-nan 3 hours early. At 5am, everyone was feeling a little uinder the weather and I definately wasn't in the mood to be bargining and hassled for everything I had. But.... everyone needs to make it in this world so we were back in the madhouse again. We had read tons and tons about the technqiues that are used to get people to stay at various guesthouses including telling you your guesthouse is closed... we got the run around. "Your Guesthouse is closed". "The road doens't got to your guesthouse". "The road does got to your guesthouse but we can only drop you off 1km from where it is." "We can drive you there but it will cost you 1000 Baht (5 times more than it should)". Wendy and I were fed up when finally the owners of the guesthouse we had booked in at called us back and told us they were going to come and pick us up. Thank goodness!

We soon learned that all wasn't lies. It was not even a dirt road for the last 2 km to the Guesthouse. So bumpy, I'm pretty sure I got whiplash and I was holding the "Holy Shit" bar with all my might. Seaview ThanSadet. It was a small bay about 45 minutes from Haad Rin where the Full Moon Party was being held.

We crahsed for the remainder of the day with some beach time in the afternoon. Our first go at frisbee wasn't too sucessful. Eugene off-loaded his amazing disc to Wendy and I as he was heading back to Canada and needed to lighten his pack. Awesome! We also figured out a great source of amusement for the next few days. The walkway up to our bungalows was a death trap. A very dry, gravel road with probably an 75 degree incline. We would slip but not fall everytime we went down to the the beach. It was about 400m verticle so we would try to control our laughing fits while sliding either up or down the hill. Very fun.

Our first evening there, we met Benji and Davey. They were from Australia. Benji lives in Thailand for about 4 months of the year and Davey was on vacation from "Finance-land". They were celebrating Davey's last night in Thailand. He had crashed a motorbike a few days earlier so he extended his stay to allow his foot to heal and then played frisbee on it like a child running for the ice cream man. It was the size of a football by the evening and I wouldn't be surpised if he had a bone or two broken in there.

The next few days were uneventful. Taking in the quiet beauty of our beach and the great ocean. We were mostly resting up for the Full Moon Party on the 28th. After many stories it was finally time to get our own tails of the night!

We went in early in the evening, around 7:30, to have some dinner and take it all in. Shortly after dinner we were into Bucketland. Buckets are acutal buckets (like to build sand castles with) filled with ice and your choice of alcohol and mixing medium. We chose vodka, redbull and sprite for the evening. Not a bad combination. We found some paint designs we liked and got decked out for the evening. I decided on a dragon and some serious flames. This paint glows under the black light but is definately not sweat resistant so I danced away all my designs. It was a great moment, dancing up on the risers at Drop In Bar, looking over a sea of 20,000 people, Sneaky Sound System blaring off the speakers and a great friend by your side. Can't ask for much more. I will admit it was one of the best party nights of my life. Nothing spectacular happened, just a huge group of people all coming together to have a good time. We danced and partied until the sun was well up and got our taxi back to Than Sadet. After a swim and some food, we were ready to sleep for days. It was a great feeling!
