Well here we are! In a day or so I'll be finally starting my gap year!

A pile of stuff that is much larger than my backpack is laying on my floor in which I have checked and double checked to make sure i havn't forgotten anything. It all seems there but i have this paranoid feeling that on Tuesday, as the train pulls away from the station, a sinking realisation will come over me as I recall my passport, flight ticket, or the ever-so-important fake burberrery sunglasses sitting by the front door in a vain attempt by me to remember them in the first place. But I'm sure it'll all be fine!

This last week has been a mixture of saying goodbyes, which have got a little emotional in some cases, doing last minute preparations (need to buy lots of immodium tomorrow) and making the most of Channel Dave, which i will miss a hell of a lot.

Also just wanted to say a big  thank you to anyone who has wished me bon-voyage in one way or another for this trip, I'll miss you all loads!

I don't know what time you leave today, so i'm thinking that you might be in thaaaai when you get this, which is pretty insane! Really glad I got to have a chat the other day (even though i was WAASTED when you rang me first!), and i honestly can't wait to hear about your adventures, this blog thing's such a good idea.
much love my friend, and if you are ever sad or lonely think on one of the following things: the ten bells and its cumfy sofas, notcutts and its overpriced scones, robert peel and to a lesser extent the anti corn law league, nick-nav (this could possibly be an advantage to you when traveling), death by carbon-carbon double bond, ABBA in poskett's car, chucky dancing, in fact everyone dancing, dancing is good.

:) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good Luck
Hey man, hope you have a great time. Hoping that the region stays relatively politically stable whilst your there and that we don't have to write amnesty letters to secure your release...
No seriously, have fun man should be great. If things get really bad me and the 400 will turn up to rescue you. Well, the 400 will be on the back of a breakdown service truck but other than that should be fine.
Look forward to hearing from you soon
