. When we woke up the next morning we arranged a hike through the mountains. It was quite beautiful and unfortunately I don't think my words or the pictures really do it justice. But the best part of the hike and one of the coolest moments in my life was about 2 hours into the hike we reached the top of on of the mountains and as we were walking through herds of sheep we saw laid out for us a beautiful spread. Blankets with two tiny beds laid out and a pillow. We grabbed our seats and they brought us over tea. A delicious mint tea that i had never tried before. I remember instantly saying to my mom this is one of the coolest things ever. The guides than brought us over some lunch and we stuffed our faces with moroccan cuisine. After that we took a short walk to a different hotel owned by the same man as the other one. It was called the Kasbah and it was even more secluded than the other hotel. Located next to a waterfall and filled with a beautiful garden that even had its own personal bread making station. It was a sight for sore eyes and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. We hung around and talked there and tried for the first time a Hammam which is some sort of steam room slash moroccan way of bathing. After relaxing Omar, our tour guide, offered to take us to a nearby town to see the weekly market. When we got there it seem like total chaos and we were the only white people there for sure. We walked around and saw things we weren't used to like the slaughtering of animals or local treatment centers where they would helped the wounded. Thankfully we had a tour guide or we would have been done. But, after a few marvelous days in the atlas it was time to leave so we packed our bags and headed off to Marrakech.
Well more than a year and a half has past of me living in Spain and at least for this chapter it is coming to an end. Luckily for my last month I had the pleasure of my mom coming to visit. She stopped off in Alicante for one night which really turned out to not be enough time. We grabbed a plane early in the morning and set off for Marrakech. There a driver was waiting for us from the hotel he collected us and drove us an 130 minutes into the High Atlas mountains. Watching the landscape I saw as it changed slowly from a hot humid desert into a cool fresh green surrounding. Upon arrival we got out into a small village that appeared bustling with tourism and were taken to our hotel. A beautiful building trapped right along river. I remembered seeing it and thinking how great it was to travel with parents remember how I had slept in the street at times to save some money when traveling. That night we snuggled up inside and met some people from England as well as played some good ol scrabble
