That night we went out for tapas with Pepa our director and my CCCS group. In Granada one of their know traits is when you buy a drink in a bar they give you a tapa as well. The more drinks you buy the bigger or richer the tapas get. Tapas don't really fill me up but for a weekend it was a great way to eat
The next day we all woke up to go and explore La Alhambra(the red, named after the clay mud that surrounds the city). La Alhambra is a palace that holds years of history that this descriptions can't do justice to. Served as a palace for sultans slash a stronghold for wars La Alhambra was one of the most beautiful places i've seen in Spain.
After the tour we went to eat were I preceded to eat tapas by myself and enjoy the oylmplics which here are very hard to watch due to the fact that it isn't soccer and winter sports don't exist here. However, it didn't matter as I sat down and throughly enjoyed America's Men's Hockey Team CRUSH Finland. I than went back to my hotel and relaxed for a few hours watching curling teams. Than at night I went out with my roommates from the hotel and we walked around the city doing tapear- which is a made up word which means eating at different bars.
For the last day we relaxed, ate, and viewed the tombs of Isabel and Fernando the King and Queen responsible for uniting Spain. We than got back on a bus and headed back to Alicante. I really enjoyed Granada and like most of the places i've visted in Spain I could very much see myself living there.
