. To Chia's credit she managed to keep it togeather despite all the scenes going on around us.
We got into St Malo at about 7, found a nice place to stay, then WHAM got confronted by the fact that we dont speak French when we were off looking for a place to eat. After going into a few places with the waiter hitting us with Reservation ? Au Revoir ! we determined that it would probably be a good idea to get a French English translation pocket book and use it in future. The next day we picked up a car to take us to the next wedding in Southern Spain, no trains or planes for the next couple of weeks just as they say in French an automobile' . Next we went to the impressive Le Mont St Michel ( see pictures ) then crashed at Avranches - Brittany a short drive after.
The day arrived for us to get the sea cat and we were due to leave at about 130. I had to go into Bournmouth and return the rent a car, we had some of the greasiest cod and chips you can imagine and then we were off. The forecast was rough and Chia was more than a little worried because she has been sea sick before. We took some great pictures leaving Poole then before you know it , WHAM, we rounded the heads into a forty knot gale coming over from France. They sped the boat up to full speed and it nealy swept us off the viewing deck. We went below to get a couple of beverages and settle in, then the spewing began. The best of which was a young family sitting below us who had four kids, it started with crying, then the youngest lost her lunch, Mum who was trying to hold the sick bag got a few chunks in her direction then the older kids started crying then spewing. About then Mum lost it aswell and was violently ill while dad took the kids off to the toilet to clean them up. It all ended with the sorry state of the whole family sitting in their seats covered with spew while the stewards tried to help them clean up, used sick bags strewn every where
