We managed to find the "back way" into the smaller more ghetto portion of the Redwood National Park. The road began with windy paved roads with no lines which gave way to about 15 miles of gravel. The route lead us through two Indian reservations, past very few cars, and gave us the first glimpse of the Pacific.
We eventually entered the Park sought out the biggest redwoods we could find. We gazed at them, photographed them, climbed on them, and hugged them to our hearts' content. Some the largest trees were pushing 20 feet in diameter and up to 350 feet tall.
We have decided to have all redwood furniture commissioned for our houses upon return from our adventure.
