(Nicole) We've seen some hilarious signs throughout India--on car bumper stickers, on posters, on buildings--here's a few to give you a flavor.

1. Horn please, keep distance [cars pass each other all the time because the roads are narrow]
2. NO HORN! [quiet area for the rich?]
3. Vision 2020: Computer Literacy for all
4. Want to lose weight? Call me at ####### [while there are many beggars and homeless people who are stick thin, there are also many overweight people]
5. Donate your eyes to the poor [strange sign?]

From Siliguri to Darjeeling, we had to take a three hour arduous jeep ride through small, windy roads. It's easy to fall off the cliff or hit each other, so these are the signs pasted on the rock walls to keep everyone alert:

1. Don't gossip, let him drive
2. If you are married, divorce speed
3. Hurry Burry spoils the curry
4. Drive, don't fly
5. Anytime is safety time
6. Time is money, but life is precious
7. Enjoy your ride, don't commit suicide
8. Be slower on earth than faster to eternity

Since trying different types of food is one of our passions, we had to include our favorite eateries in India. My favorite place is Street Corner near Karol Barg in Delhi. I had the best samosas and masala dosas there. Peter's favorite restaurant is Pashikarma, a revolving restaurant in the 24th floor, in Delhi also. His second best meal was at the Park Plaze Hotel Rooftop Restaurant in Jaipur. We had a sizzling view of the city with a magnificent BBQ meal, shared with the mosquitoes. Fine dining is very affordable here, compared to Los Angeles, so we took advantage of this whenever we could.
