(Peter) Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon) has been great, especially with the kindness and guidance of Nicole's family over here. We've been staying at Nicole's aunt and uncle's beautiful new 5 story house right in the city. They have really treated us like royalty.

The food has been great. In the house, every day they've been preparing different dishes so that we can get a taste of the variety of food in Vietnam. In addition, they've taken us out to many different eateries. The food is really good. I have not disliked any food here so far.

In addition to eating (which has been our most pleasurable activity), we've enjoyed several other activities, including the following:

- riding on motorbikes through the treacherous Saigon traffic
- fishing with Nicole's cousins
- shopping at the famous Ben Thanh market
- karaoke with Nicole's family and friends

We couldn't have asked for a better time...


However, in fairness, there have also been things that I have disliked during my stay here. They are:
