(Nicole) Here we go! Am I really doing this? I can't wait to see my relatives and eat all the yummy food. I can't wait for Peter to eat the "real" Vietnamese food. I won't tell him what he's eating so he won't be so timid. I just missed the Vietnamese New Year, but hopefully it will still be fun! This is my third time back to Vietnam and still I don't think I know much about my homeland. I'm trying to brush up on my Vietnamese by listening to the Little Saigon Radio station.
I wish I knew how to ride a motorcycle because it looks so fun. Everybody drives a motorbike! Even females ride the motorbike all time, with several kids and bags attached to them because everything is transportable by the bikes, even a grand piano. Some females wear a light fabric over their faces because of the nasty fumes from the bikes. Peter got his motorcycle license last year, but has not practiced since, so he's probably not ready for Southeast Asia motorbike-riding.
