Well, the countdown has begun. Only an hour to go and then we leave for the airport. First destination Thailand. Not got a great deal to say, am managing to be both excited and scared at the same time, but how hard can it be leaving everything and everyone you know and love for a year...............actually, best not to dwell on that one.
Is meant to be about a million degrees in Bangkok at the moment, so that should be interesting after the drizzle we are currently suffering. Not that it will really matter, as hopefully all the bars will be fully air-conditioned. Anyway, am going to leave it there, as now need to do my final check of luggage, tickets, clothes, money, electrical goods, and everything else which is getting crammed into the rucksack. All for now.
