Where I stayed
The Lord blessed us. The staff at the Marriott were nice and helpful every day. I was even able to run in the neighborhood. It's exactly 1.92 miles from our hotel to the Cheesecake Factory. If you want a good route, you can also run from the hotel to Lenox Mall, take the Buckhead Loop and then run Piedmont back to the hotel. Our hotel has good breakfast. . . Maria helped me clean up the exploded eggs from the microwave. LOL! We also have free washing and drying capabilities.
Big shoutout to Dana, Marcus, and Josie at Fed Ex at Buckhead
Big shoutout to Chantel, Natalie, and Tim who helped us load, unload, picked up our Fed Ex orders. I appreciate your support and encouragement.
Big shoutout to Dr. Stallings for the micro loan, moral support, and the unending encouragement.
Atlanta is a wonderful place. . . it was great to see BLACK PEOPLE everywhere! Natural hair was the norm and everyone was nice and friendly. Maybe it was the energy of the festival, but it sure was a nice and pleasant environment. Sometimes you just don't want to stand out ALL the time and here the natural hair just blended right on in. The brothers who worked the adjoining booth were from Nigeria so again I felt right at home. They helped us in more ways than one. I'm so extremely tired and I hurt but I must press on because I leave for New York tomorrow and I have a busy schedule.
How did I forget, I saw Jasmine Guy and gave her a SA Strong card!!
