What I did
The last time I played we were stomped on by a real estate company. They totally annihilated us. So this time, I knew what to expect...
We won this game at 15-9 with at least four of those points coming from my hitting (smacked it every time! ...I just throw/catch like a 12 year old).
Great time, though I'm terribly sore today
Running to third plate near the end of the game, I crashed into a 200+ lb black man guarding the base. I saw he was in my path and that diverting around him would add seconds to my steal. I screamed "move move" but alas, a decision had to be made, and he was f*ing blocking my base!!!
Plowed right into him, sending us both to the ground but my hand still scrambling to touch the puffy plate. Then the ref called for a time out saying "we have an injured player."
The 200+ man said he was hurt!!
Well, I ended up being more injured than he claimed to be, once I tried getting myself up. Couldn't run for the rest of the game (had to have someone do it for me around the bases) nor could I sleep last night because my knees were locking up on me -- the mussels swelling, causing this continually throbbing pain.
Much better now though, about 24 hours later. I just can't kneel or squat down and my walk around town has been a slow shuffle :p
Will definitely be up for the next game though! Unfortunately, with the summer coming to a close for the sport and my hours usually being wacky, it may have been my last, but at least it was definitely the best one. (Though the guys in the neighboring outfield teams of the last game were by far cuter =/ Only talked to one this time -- not as the conversation starter.)
