Back from Maryland! (With a heavy heart)
I sincerely had the best time, and it hence feels lonely coming back.

We did everything!!! (and I didn't plan a PIECE of it)

Friday night we had a movie night with a bottle of wine I brought down. Saturday we went to Virginia Falls (oggling the mansions up the twisty wooden drive there) hiking a bit around the Potomic up along the cliffs. Went to Madeline's for dinner (the last time Eva and I were there, we recalled, I gushed to her about how much I love New York and want more than anything to move there), had another crazy movie night (this time with ice cream), and then Sunday we went out for breakfast (FRENCH TOAST!) and into D.C. to walk along the mall & museum hop (National Art Gallery & Native American Museum) ...following by another movie night :p (no more movies)

Again, was so sad to go. Fortunately I changed my departure ticket to an afternoon one so after metroing up to Bethesda after Eva headed into work, I got to enjoy the sunshine & breeze downtown on a bench, eventually sipping a cup of coffee (there and on the bus route back, finishing my book, "The Hunger Games," which was terrific (X-mas gift from Kate).

It was too lovely of a time though... and I saw a side of D.C. I never got to enjoy before.

Wish I could make a solid decision on where I want to be.
Sitting in Eva's cozy kitchen while she was out Saturday morning, I got so much work done on my laptop (even doing an interview for a freelance writing position). Realized from that what I'm missing in my tiny "dorm room" here in New York -- (Oh but I guess I do have carpeting... had thought it was grimy tile. None the less,) it's not homey here. But if I move out to another borough, finding more of a "home," that would mean I'm making a decision to stay here, now wouldn't it?

Gah. Wish I could live everywhere (seriously).

Arriving Friday, I saw the post cards I've sent Eva (from Florida, New York & France) on her fridge and on Saturday saw some beaded birds I made her still dangling from her car mirror <3. Hearing I have tomorrow off too she offered to have me stay longer. Nice to have someone offer that.

Shoe shopping tomorrow!
Kinda want these by Adidas... but already have flats. Cool though.
