Okay well, those of you that know me know that sometimes I complain about the doctors. But here, I wish I had one in my pocket. They can just be so handy sometimes. I never really have health problems, but here I have already had the stomache problems, although the cipro is working, and my eyes are getting worse, they look like they are bleeding they are so red. And I have this weird red swollen part in my mouth. There is a dentist in my neighborhood, but just by looking, I dont want anything in that office, inside my mouth. SO I guess I will just wait it out and hope I dont go blind and that my teeth survive the journey. Where is the doctor? HAHA Yesterday my teacher gave me a recipe that would fix my stomache, one clump of ginger cut up into little pieces and put in a bottle of whiskey, and then you have to drink a shot with every meal, (thats a receipe for withdrawal). i noded and smiled to that suggestion. When I told my house mom my teeth were hurting and I needed water, she gave me soda and then made me special water with some kind of herb to swish around in my mouth. Its not that I dont believe the traditional methods could work... But its hard to turn from the dentist to the romano (the name of the herb I dont know).
Yesterday I went with my classmates out to the fields. The area has lots of hills, its a high desert but does have alot of trees. We went on a nature walk with a man that lives out there, and his land has every tree possible, and he knew every one. We walked for a couple hours and every plant he explained what it was used for. This tree (for example) is very strong and the grapevines grow better under it and are stronger and make better wine. And this tree has flowers in octobre that flalls off and you can make a syrup from them for your coffee that is very rich, etc. Well it was all in spanish so obviously i didnt get it all...But close to the end one of my fellow students picked up this little twig from the ground and said Žand this twig if you feed it to the guinea pigs when they are sick, they will get betterš (we had already seen the guinea pig farm, raised for eating of course)  The teacher laughed and said, exactly, you understand. It was really funny and true. 
It was amazing. His family very literally lives off the land, and uses everything there for food, for their house etc. I thought about asking him if I could be his second wife, and then I saw how hard his first wife was working, and thought -maybe not. Everyone knows the second wife has to work harder than the first.

So Yvonne wants me to come early and 'rescue' you. i just lauged. So what, You have pink eye, and what do you think is going on in your mouth? I would try the ginger whiskey combo, ginger is good for you stomach and hey a good whiskey will kill anything, Just maybe not in the amount they prescribe. So have you tried the guinne pig yet???
