Last night we went to Greenwich so I could by a specific comb only sold there at a pharmacy and then went for supper. We had troubles deciding but ended up going to a place I had researched that was simple. Mamnoun's Falafel's! I had a falfel pita (A falafel is ground chickpea mash put in a ball and deep fried - vegiterian) and Korinne the chicken kabob pita. We agreed that they were both excelant. We had a drink and the bill came to $10 total. While eating a man walked by in a silk camosal but other than than had mens clothes hahahaha. Lots of different folks. It is entertaining watching people. Went home and were in bed by 9pm. We had to, my cold was terrible and we were both exhausted. It was what we needed as this morning my cold is 70% better and we both had renewed energy.
Today we had left open on our schedule to hit repeats or missed areas. We did so well on our schedule the last week we opted to hit some discount areas and stores that we had hit already taking a better look at some stuff.
So off we went. Stores open at about 10 am and we were ready to go before that. So we headed to the south street seaport to walk around and see the old ship and a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge. On the way we got a indicator that today would be one of great deals. We saw this haircut place that is even cheaper than what Kirk M pays hahaha.
Then over to Century 21 and SYMS both name brand discount stores and we bought !!!! Some great deals on clothes and for once I found stuff too. We stopped back at ground zero where we had the tour a week earlier. We bought a excellant book on 911 that has the pictures they use on the tour and that meant something to us.
Here is a picture of the dark, narrow, canyon like streets of the financial district.
Today most of the dowtown subway stations were closed, due to construction so we had to walk out and we were ok with that as we are getting legs of steal. We passed J&R elctronics and stopped in. I wanted to see what there prices were on MP3 players. WOW guesss what I bought hahahahahaha. So we headed back to Chinatown and were asked "Do you want handbag" or "Do You want Rolex" but as soon as a policeman comes by there is a shuffle of watches and no talk of Rolex. hahaha It is fun. I bought a Jean Paul Gautier cologne bottle for $5 that is right $5 in the Bay at home it is $89. It smells the same too and is in a offical looking packaging etc. So you cant go wrong.
We headed back with our purchases and our getting ready to go out for the evening. We are going for a nice supper tonight and up to the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Centre at night). Then home.
