As I am writing this on Sunday, I really can't remember much about what we may have done last Wednesday. We had obviously completed all there was to see in Hay. I do remember we went to the library and I took 1.5 hours to load up the blog, do my emails and research caravan parks in Deniliquin. I also visited the Betta Electrical place again to find out about either getting a new battery for the phone, or a new phone. The man (a different one this time) was again very helpful, even though he knew he was not going to sell me anything. He gave me the name of the place in Deniliquin where he thought I could get a battery.
We went down along the Murrumbidgee River - to the west and east of the town - to take a few photos - still one of my favourite places. I think I spent the rest of the day processing my and Ted's photographs. I am putting captions on mine in preparation for a slideshow to be loaded to DVD, so I can play it on the TV. With Ted's at this time, I am just sequencing them, and have replaced some of his with a few of mine as early in the trip for some reason, his camera seemed to be playing up, and a few photos were very over exposed. I was able to improve a few with photographic software, but some I just replaced with my photos (if mine were OK, and if I had taken then shot Ted's camera missed).
I also remember that we went down to the old station building after dark to photograph it floodlit - quite impressive. I do also know we had another of Mum's recipes for dinner - oeuflets - these are egg-based patties made with bread and herbs. Good old fashioned meal, which neither of us has had for at least 20 years, maybe longer.
