Today was wine tasting.  There are many wineries around Griffith, and many of the farms are vineyards.  Some of the larger wine companies are here, but I wanted to visit a couple of smaller wineries and had picked out a couple.  Firstly we went to Australian Old Vine Wines.  They produce about 4 varieties of wine grapes and make their own wine.  I tasted their Shiraz, and another red which was quite unusual and very nice (to my pallet, for what that is worth).  So, anyone who has never heard of whatever this is - Cam....something or other - can have a taste, as I ordered a carton full to be sent home in early August.  We were probably there talking to the lady and me tasting for almost an hour before we headed off to the other place.

Unfortunately, when we got there, we could not find anyone present - we threw a stick for the dog, and patted the cat and kitten and hung around for a while, but no sign of the people - guess they were out in the vineyard working Australian Old Vine Winery

.  So we left.  I had spent enough anyway.

Can't remember what we did the rest of the day (it is Tuesday now as I write, and I have forgotten).  Probably nothing as this was the 7th day we got for the price of 6.

I do know we had Omelets for dinner, because I write out a menu for a few days at a time, and base our shopping on that - have never been so organized with respect to shopping and preparing meals.  When you are traveling, you only have a limited amount of fridge space, so you can't shop for too many days, and also you don't want to be shopping every day, so you have to be organized.
