Here we are, last day of our vacation, just taking it easy at the beach. Pismo Beach is so much nicer than Ventura, but who am I to judge? Just my personal opinion.
Started our day at the beach, watching the ocean while the girls were digging in the sand. Adriana found lots of shells, broken, but still valuable to her. After the fog got us cold, we put our winter clothes on and went to downtown(?) Pismo to see what is there. Not much to see if you are not in to surfing, but we did find a place to go back later - it is like a diner with best clam chowder for 10 years - there is a constant line around the corner, we did stand there for few minutes but our girls decided it is bathroom time, so we left.
Pismo pier is long and we did see a pelican who loves to hang out on the handrail, and sea otter playing and few sea lions jumping out around the surfers.
This RV park is nice, right on the beach, with a fire pit that we finally used last night for roasting marshmallows (all other places were too hot for fire)
I think we are all ready to go home.
We had perfect ending - got our clam chowder in bread bowl, sat on the bench by the ocean and had dinner. I took more sunset pictures later and the girls went swimming. Firepit was on again, glass of wine and marshmallows, Noland and I had a chance to recap our vacation, and it was a vacation once in a lifetime - everything was perfect, even foggy 4th of July fireworks.
