Although the town we are staying in is very small, there is a Starbucks, so basically we're at home here.
It was a 6 hours bus ride to get here, during which Terry got really carsick, so an ordeal. We spent yesterday recovering and today signed up for a tour of the highlands. We started the day off hiking an hour into the jungle to see the Rafflesia - the world's largest flower
On the hike back down, Terry and I both fell and sustained minor injuries to our body, major injuries to our pride.
We then visited a local village, where Terry was able to practice shooting a blowgun.
After lunch, we toured the BOH (stands for Best of Highlands) tea plantation, which was really neat. We learned how tea is made and toured the factory, then got to try out the yummy teas at the tea bar, conveniently located next to the gift shop where I may have gone slightly crazy......souvenirs await you all!
We later toured a Strawberry farm where Terry and I spent most of the time eating the fresh strawberries and cream. I also purchased a strawberry umbrella that i am convinced is the coolest thing in the world. Good thing, as getting it home is going to be a pain. If Im moving to England I need a good umbrella, right? Why not one that looks like a Strawberry?
We got home around 7pm, shattered
Went out to dinner with a really cool couple we met on the tour who live in London.
Now we are waiting for the movie room to free up - someone is watching the 6th Sense. We may give up and just go to bed.
Hoping to sleep off the pain.
