Its Friday, well Saturday, May 14th, and Bridget and I are getting ready to leave in less then two weeks. For those that don't know, Bridget and I are law students at John Marshall Law, here in Chicago. We have decided to take a law class in Parma, Italy as one of our summer classes.

I have been asked by several people-"what does Italy have to do with the law?" or, "What, are you going to practice in Italy now?" But, studying the development of the law (remember the romans!) as well as learning about how the law intertwines with other countries and their laws is vital in studying law here in the US. Beyond that, its the internet age baby, and the world gets smaller and smaller every day. There isn't much that won't be touched by other countries-and its important to know what to do.

Now, that being said, Bridget and I are going to Europe for almost 3 weeks!!!! Our plan is this-We are flying to London on May 23rd (flights were way way cheaper this way.) and staying with my stepsister, Lee, and her husband, who live in London. My mom and Barry will be visiting her too, so it will be crowded, yet fun. Then, we are taking the train to Paris, spending a few days, and then training down to Parma. While there, we will be in class-but plan to try to see as much of Northern Italy as possible-plus we have a weekend to fill with adventures...I will be returning on June 11th, and almost immediately going to Rockford, to work for two months, before I head out to Peru, for more classes.

So, that is my summer in a nutshell. In the next week, I have to do my budget,(yuck), figure out what to pack, maybe do some shopping (but not too much, since I will be in London, Paris, Milan and Rome) and try not to worry about finals and what I did on exams. 1 more to go...

I will miss you all, but keeping this blog will help me feel closer-check back often to see new pictures and new entries.
