Happy Halloweenies yesterday to you all back in the Americas!

The real holiday is today, November 1 for All Saints Day. The Parisian way of celebrating is to take a whole week and a half off from school and enjoy the shopping. Really, everyday here is like black Friday back in the states. It's INSANE. And the holiday yesterday and today don't help. Halloween is their time to shop and eat lots of pastries ;) That's fine for me, but I was a little sad at the lack of scary movies on TV. We were going to watch Sleepy Hallow last night, but we got headaches and decided to take a nap first. While Mary ended up waking up an hour later, I didn't wake up until this morning. Then I became a big blob and slept in until 12 ;) Gotta love how nothing stopped me there ;)

But even so, mary and I had a nice Halloween, we walked around and got lost a lot 1

. We were trying to find the Musee Picasso because it was free on Mondays, while all other museums around here are closed. Well, we found the museum, but it wasn't free, so since Halloween was supposed to be our "free day" we didn't go in. However, we did do tons of fun window shopping and lots of exercise, so it wasn't a total loss. There are so many cute shops here in Paris, that you could really spend DAYS going through the best ones, and make tons of fun out of it. We also found the Puma store because I had been determined to get a pair of hot Pumas from there, but I refused to spend a hundred euros on anything in that store. I have seen cuter ones in the side street shops for cheaper.

Changing the subject-it's official! Mary and I are getting visitors during our trip at two points (maybe three). The first is for X-mas, Missy Sweet from DREXEL U. is coming for her birthday and the holiday. We are going to have so much fun-Mary and I can't stop planning for her :) Yesterday, we were check-listing where she would want to go the most, and making mental notes of the best shops to take her to. She is going to have a blast. In march, Tina and Kerry are coming down to so Paris and Italy. If we plan smartly, we can get Italy done with Milan, Venice, Florence, Pisa, and Rome and still have time for many sites in Paris. OMG. So fun.

We also got a chance to talk to Michele, Alesye, Froio, and Megs from the Cage to catch up on the news down there. It was so nice to hear all of their voices and know that they are okay. We miss everyone from Drexel, no matter how hot it gets while we are there. Missy, the glass thing will be okay-just stay away from it next time ;)

Changing the subject again, my next road trip is probably going to start on the 5th or 6th of November, which means this weekend! YAY! I have decided to do it this way: Berlin, Nuremburg, Munich, Vienna (day), Kragow, Vienna again, Geneva, and then back to Paris. That is going to be the best way to train it, and I think it's the smartest way for now. When I travel it, it's possible I will change my mind, but we will see. I know that last time this happened drastically, nothing's definite, even if you do have a place to sleep :)

I have decided to save Amsterdam, because there is chance that Rich will come and visit to go there with me in January after Christmas. How nice, someone else wants to visit me :) It's good to know that there is sunshine coming to Paris soon.

Mary and I love the city 5

. I have been a bump on the log lately for different reasons, but we are still walking and enjoying the experience of living as Parisians. However, I must say that I have been homesick for my family and friends and wish that you guys could all share this fun with me! Mary and I feel very fortunate because even if we do get a little down here and there, we can still do it together in the most beautiful city in the world. ;) I also have to remember that I am also very fortunate to not be hurting the way I did this summer as far as my arthritis is concerned. I am doing very well as far as my joints; I am keeping them stretched out and taking all my meds-I have also conquered my "shot fear". I can do it fast now, so I am okay.

I am sorry about the pictures guys, I have been slacking majorly on that one. But no worries, I have started up Travel Blog and it will be ready soon, hopefully before I leave this weekend!
