Well...it's two weeks today until I leave for London and I've stil got a million and one things do! Every time I tick something off my list two or three other things seem to replace it. Here's what I've still got to do:
1. Sort out cash cards for Pounds and Euros (great invention if your heading overases)
2. Get some Swiss Francs cos you can't get Franc cash cards (bugger)
3. Get a British sim card for my phone (I've already got someone onto that for me) so I can txt home
4. Hopefully sell my couches (any extra moola is welcome)
5. Move all my stuff into a storage unit except what I'm taking with me to Europe (not looking forward to sorting that out)
6. Sort out all the flat account crap (I might get $50 from what's left if I'm lucky - yippie)
7. Clean the flat for inspection (please let me get my bond back cos I need that money so I can eat while I'm away!!!)
8. Train the new person at work (she starts tomorrow, so not looking forward to this)
9. Tidy up loose ends at work before I leave for good (weird to think once I leave on May 30 that I won't be coming back)
10. Sort out my tax return (good times)
11. Have a farewell, flat leaving, my brother's temporarily back from Aussie, it's my other bro's friend's b'day...party (that's about the only exciting thing on this list).
At least now that I've set up this travel blog I've managed to off number 12 on my ever expanding list.
Ok, so enough with the complaints, I'm actually ridiculously excited about the fact that I'm going to see things in person that I've studied or only ever seen on TV. I'm going to experience things that I may never get to experience again and if that means I'm destitute at the end of five weeks then so be it! Bring it on :)
I can't wait to share my exeperiences with you...two weeks and counting...
